Fear caused us to allow our protections under the Bill of Rights to be eroded. Fear caused us to spend trillions of dollars on security measures that don't make us safer. Fear created the Department of Homeland Security and fear made billionaires out of the Rupert Murdoch empire. There are very few entities world wide that have the power to do us grave harm and we are swatting at gnats.
